Vacation & Airbnb Pool Service

Airbnb & Vacation Rental Pool Service

Short-term rental pools are not weekly pools. There is one check-in, it happens on a schedule you do not control, and the water has to be right when the guest walks out the back door. The Pool Police has serviced the largest AirBnB on Lake Travis since it opened in late 2018 — and that account is why this is a specialised service here rather than a normal route stop with a different billing code.

What's Included

What We Do

Service timed around your booking calendar, not our route — the pool is ready before check-in, not whenever the truck reaches your street
Full water chemistry balanced for guest load: a rental that sleeps twelve puts more bather waste into the water in one weekend than a family pool sees in a month
Skim, brush and vacuum, plus skimmer and pump baskets emptied so nothing is left for a guest to find
Leaves blown from the deck and pool surround — the same work we do at the Lake Travis property every visit
Recreational areas cleaned and volleyball courts raked where the property has them
Mail collected on request, because an overflowing mailbox tells every passerby the house is between guests
Equipment checked every visit — a pump that fails mid-stay is a refund, not a work order
Photo-documented service report so you can see the state of the pool without driving out
Why Choose Us

Why The Pool Police?

Seven years of continuous short-term-rental work on Lake Travis, not a service we added last season
One owner-operator crew — the same people every visit, which matters when they hold a gate code
Hill Country water is hard and cedar-heavy, and a rental pool gets no grace period to recover from either
Flat monthly rate with all chemicals included, so a heavy booking month does not arrive as a surprise invoice
No contract — month to month, because rental seasons are not annual
Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you work around guest check-ins and check-outs?

Yes — that is the core of the service. On a short-term rental there is one check-in that matters and the pool has to be right for it, so visits are scheduled against your booking calendar rather than a fixed route day. Send us the calendar and we work backwards from it.

Why does an Airbnb pool need different service from a family pool?

Bather load. A rental that sleeps twelve can put more sunscreen, sweat and organic waste into the water over one weekend than a family pool sees in a month, and all of it consumes chlorine. Left on a standard weekly dose the water goes cloudy mid-stay — which is when you get the message from the guest. We dose for the load the property actually carries.

Do you do anything beyond the pool itself?

At the Lake Travis property we blow leaves, rake the volleyball courts, clean the recreational areas and collect the mail. Guests do not distinguish between "the pool" and "the back yard" — they see one space, and a spotless pool beside a leaf-covered deck still reads as neglected. What is included at your property is set when we quote it.

What happens if equipment fails between guests?

We check equipment every visit specifically so that failures surface between stays rather than during one. On a rental, a dead pump is not a repair scheduled for next week — it is a refund and a review. Catching a failing seal or a struggling motor early is most of the value of the visit.

What does it cost?

It depends on the pool, the property and how often you are booked, so we quote it rather than publish a rate that would be wrong for most properties. Our standard residential bands are published in full on the Austin pool service cost page, and short-term-rental service is quoted against the same structure with visit frequency as the variable.

Do you serve properties outside Lake Travis?

Yes. We serve rentals across the same fourteen areas as our residential routes — Lakeway, Steiner Ranch, Bee Cave, Hudson Bend, River Place, Four Points, Cedar Park and West Austin among them. Lake Travis is simply where the longest-running rental account is.
